Quenching baths (tanks) are designed for cooling products, with controlled heating or cooling of the quenching liquid to a set temperature. Oil and water are used as working fluid in quenching tanks.

Washing baths (tanks) are used for washing products with a solution heated to a set temperature. Mixing of the working fluid is carried out by bubbling with compressed air, a circulation pump, or a mechanical stirrer.
