Salt and saltpetre baths are designed for heat treatment of workpieces, parts in a salt melt at a temperature of up to 1300 ° C or a saltpetre melt at a temperature of up to 700 ° C.

The bath consists of a furnace unit with spiral heaters on ceramic tubes, a welded retort and a protective flange. The furnace block is lined with a heat-insulating layer of lightweight clay-fiber refractory material and refractory bricks.
